    Medicaid Waiver Programs
Texas Medicaid waiver programs are available for children and adults with disabilities.  The waivers allow the states to offer Medicaid funded services in the community, rather than in institutions.  These waivers do not look at the parent's income but are based on the applicants' income and resources.  The applicant must be Medicaid eligible and receive services from only one Medicaid waiver program at a time.  A person's name is placed on a waiting list and is contacted when their name comes up for services.  Call NOW to place your child on the interest list.  Eligibility will be determined when they get to the top of the list (which may take years).
